Announced in December, American Airlines will provide seasonal service between LaGuardia Airport (LGA) and Daytona Beach International Airport (DAB) beginning May 4. The carrier currently offers multiple, daily flights between Charlotte and Daytona Beach.
In celebration of the new destination, airport staff will welcome the inaugural flight at the gate. There is an opportunity for media to capture photos of the arrival.
The flight arrives at 11:50 a.m. Saturday, May 4. Media who wish to attend should arrive at the airport by 11:30 a.m. sharp. To confirm attendance, email ksark@volusia.org by 5 p.m. Thursday, May 2.
Parking is available in front of the terminal building in the short-term lot. Parking will be validated at the event.
