DAB Ready to Fly!

The safety and health of our passengers and employees is our number-one priority. DAB has made several enhancements to our facility and our cleaning procedures so travelers can feel confident and Ready To Fly! Below is information on what steps the airport is taking, travel impacts and operational impacts. DAB, in partnership with local, state and federal officials, has infectious disease response plans in place that are regularly reviewed, practiced and updated throughout the year. This information on this page is updated as it becomes available.

DAB Cleaning Protocols

  • Additional hand sanitizer dispensers throughout the airport
  • Increased frequency and intensity of efforts to disinfect restrooms and other public areas with specialized cleaning agents intended to kill germs
  • Continuous cleaning and sanitation of all high-touch-points
  • Protective, transparent shields installed at airline, rental car and restaurant customer service counters
  • Signage and public announcements regarding social distancing and hand hygiene
  • Personal care kits available for travelers


Face Coverings and Social Distancing 

  • Face coverings: While face coverings are not required inside the terminal, the CDC recommends wearing cloth face coverings in public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain. Complimentary face coverings are available at the information desk, located at the entrance of the airport.
  • Please allow some extra spaceSocial Distancing: Travelers and employees should practice social distancing and allow 6-feet of space between other people in lines, gate areas and concession.

Airline information

  • DAB is served by Delta Air LinesAmerican Airlines.and seasonal service by Sunwing Airlines. Passengers should check directily with the airlines regarding flight schedules, booking and other flight requirements.
    • Delta is streamlining onboard food and beverage service and encourages passengers to pack their own food and beverages to decrease the number of touchpoints. Read more here.
    • American has beverages available on request,limited to water, canned beverages or juice. No snacks or food for purchase will be served. Read more here.
    • Passengers can purchase freshly prepared sandwhiches, salads and other baked goods and can take these and other food items through security.  Beverages are not permitted through security. Read more about updated TSA screening procedures and food.
  • Other travel tips: 
    • Bring reading material or something to do.  Chances are the inflight magazines have been removed.  Seat-back TVs may also be removed in some aircraft to reduce touchpoints.
    • Bring a jacket or sweater in case blankets are not available. 
    • Download your airline’s app and use mobile boarding passes to limit using kiosks and touchpoints.


Concessions at DAB

Times of operation are temporary and subject to change as pasenger and flight frequency increase.

  • The Java Moon Café is on the second floor in the pre-boarding, public area. Java Moon is open daily from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
  • Beverages and other snacks may be purchased at the Daytona News Now gift shop, located in the concourse beyond the TSA checkpoint. The gift shop is open 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. 
  • The Sugar Mill Café is in the concourse and is open 1 1/2 hours before the first departure only and then closes for the day.
  • The Junction Daytona Beach is a full-service bar in the concourse with a secondary location in the pre-boarding area. Both bars are currently closed.

No, the airport is not taking temperatures of the traveling public. However, airport staff are getting daily temperature checks.

No, the airlines currently serving DAB are not taking temperatures of passengers. Delta Air Lines and American Airlines both require passengers wear face masks. The requirements vary by airline and passengers should contact the airlines directly for more information.
