Daytona Beach International Airport celebrates the holidays

Daytona Beach International Airport (DAB) is celebrating the holiday season with special musical performances and other holiday activities. The following photo and media opportunities are available:

  • Pine Ridge High School Choir, 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, main entrance.
  • Spruce Creek High School Orchestra, 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, main entrance.
  • The AcaFellas, from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, will perform at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18, at the main entrance and second floor near the TSA checkpoint.
  • Silver Sands Middle School Orchestra, 4:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8, main entrance.
  • Galaxy Middle School Choir, 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, main entrance.
  • Holiday hot cocoa in the concourse, served by local public safety officers:
    • The DAB Aircraft Rescue & Fire Fighting (ARFF) crew will serve from 10 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, Dec. 12.
    • Volusia County Beach Safety officers and lifeguards will serve from 10 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, Dec. 13 and 9 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, Dec. 20.
    • Volusia Sheriff’s Office deputies stationed at DAB will serve between 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 15
  • Santa and Mrs. Claus will greet arriving passengers between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 22, in the baggage claim area.

Passengers and visitors can also enjoy the festive holiday décor, which includes a 22-foot tree with bright-colored LED lights, and the beautiful poinsettia tree-- a DAB holiday favorite for more than 30 years!
